About The Project

The North Natomas Library, a key component in the collaborative initiative between Inderkum High School and the Los Rios Community College District, required a comprehensive approach to landscape design to accommodate the extensive use by both institutions and the local community. The project encompassed a master plan that re-envisioned the library along with two additional buildings, with MTWgroup playing a pivotal role in shaping the landscape design for the entire site.

A central feature of the design was the creation of an outdoor plaza, strategically positioned to serve as a vital connection point between the three buildings. This plaza was not only designed to facilitate movement and interaction between the facilities but also to enhance the overall campus experience.

MTWgroup’s landscape design incorporated native plantings throughout the site, aligning with the environmental and aesthetic goals of the project. The use of native species ensured that the landscape would thrive with minimal irrigation, promoting sustainability and harmony with the local environment.

Through careful coordination and innovative design, MTWgroup contributed to creating a cohesive and inviting environment that serves the educational and communal needs of the North Natomas area.
