About The Project

Since 2008, MTWgroup has been working closely with the Orangevale Recreation & Park District to shape the future of its eight parks through comprehensive planning and design services. This partnership has involved a range of activities including master planning, site assessments, cost estimating, and schematic designs to guide the district's development over the next
10-20 years.

A key aspect of MTWgroup's approach has been active engagement with stakeholders and the community. this has included facilitating regular meetings and presentations to ensure that the designs reflect the needs and desires of the community. Our ongoing collaboration involves not only implementing projects as funding becomes available but also updating the master plan to adapt to evolving requirements.

To date, MTWgroup has successfully completed seven projects as outlined in the master plan, each enhancing the park system in meaningful ways. These include the development of the Pecan Park Dog Park, designed to offer a dedicated space for dogs and their owners. The Shackleton Woods Access Trail improves accessibility and connect different parts of the park. The Bike Path and Pecan Park Pickleball Courts were developed to support recreational activities and encourage community engagement. Upgrades to the Community Park Pathway improve safety and usability, as well as enhance the Community Center Parking Lot Connection and Walking Trails to facilitate better connectivity and access. Additionally, the team designed District-wide Park Monument Signs to provide clear, attractive signage for each park and completed the Community Center Landscape Improvements to beautify the surrounding area and enhance the visitor experience.
