About The Project

The City of Olivehurst sought to enhance its recreational offerings by expanding the existing single baseball field and complex into a comprehensive 25-acre community park. MTWgroup was engaged to provide the landscape design for this ambitious project, which aimed to create a diverse range of facilities and amenities.

One of the key components was the integration of multiple sports fields and recreational areas. MTWgroup's design introduced two new baseball fields, a softball field, and a soccer practice field, significantly expanding the park's athletic uses. Additionally, a new community center, dog park, skateboard park, and an amphitheater for live performances were included, addressing the varied interests of the community.

The park's future vision includes a farmers market and a nature path that will meander through the site's natural topography. MTWgroup provided a phased approach for implementation, beginning with the immediate construction of several key elements and planning for additional features over a five-year period as funding becomes available.
