About The Project

The Red Hawk Tribe’s new medical clinic required a landscape design that harmonized with its natural surroundings. MTWgroup approached this project with a focus on integrating the native landscape and enhancing the site’s natural beauty.

A significant challenge was the site's native rocky soils, which posed difficulties for planting trees and shrubs. To address this, MTWgroup designed planting pockets incorporating imported topsoil, ensuring that the selected plantings would achieve stability and thrive in the site conditions.

The design made effective use of on-site boulders and dry riverbeds, incorporating these elements into the landscape to complement the clinic’s setting. By leveraging the natural features of the site, MTWgroup was able to create a cohesive and aesthetically pleasing environment that respects the cultural and environmental context of the Red Hawk community culture.
