About The Project

Following the expansion of Rideout Memorial Hospital, MTWgroup was commissioned to create a landscape design for a Healing Garden at the adjacent Cancer Center. This garden was strategically positioned outside the treatment rooms, providing patients undergoing therapy with a tranquil view to support their healing process and offer a calming respite.

A key feature of the garden was the inclusion of running water, designed to serve a dual purpose. The gentle sound of water contributes to a soothing atmosphere while also masking external noise, thereby creating a more serene environment for patients and their families. The garden's layout emphasized relaxation and contemplation, with an interior courtyard specifically designed as a quiet retreat.

The courtyard and garden were adorned with carefully selected potted plants, chosen to offer aesthetic pleasure and contribute to the overall tranquil ambiance. Additionally, MTWgroup extended the landscape design to encompass the entire perimeter of the Cancer Center, ensuring that the facility’s surroundings were as thoughtfully curated as the Healing Garden itself.
