About The Project

The Mission College master plan included the development of the All Student Building, which replaced the main classroom building. The landscape design concept introduces a new entry plaza that serves as a prominent welcoming feature for the campus. The new entry plaza was complemented by an outdoor seating area designed to accommodate up to 50 people, also functioning as an outdoor classroom for the building.

MTWgroup's design embraces a variety of environmental conditions, incorporating both deep shade and full sun areas to enhance the pedestrian experience. The design features a diverse plant palette with varying foliage colors and textures, as well as the strategic placement of boulders, mounds, and depressions to create engaging and dynamic outdoor spaces.

The landscape team collaborated with the architect on a comprehensive irrigation and stormwater management plan. Notably, the hardscape was designed to drain into a rain garden, seamlessly integrating with the surrounding landscape.
