Science Building

About The Project

As the new science building, complete with its awe-inspiring planetarium, began to take shape, MTWgroup embarked on a journey to create a landscape that would not only complement the cutting-edge architecture but also elevate the educational experience. The task was to weave together outdoor spaces that would inspire wonder and foster learning.

The design emerged as a blend of innovation and practicality. At the entrance, a prominent water feature became a focal point, welcoming visitors with its serene flow and setting the tone for what lay ahead. This graceful addition created an inviting atmosphere, making every arrival feel like stepping into a world of discovery.

But the landscape design went beyond mere aesthetics. MTWgroup envisioned an array of functional outdoor spaces that would support the facility's educational mission. Outdoor science areas were strategically placed to offer hands-on learning experiences in a natural setting. A thoughtfully designed outdoor seating plaza provided a space for students and visitors to gather, reflect, and engage in conversations. Dedicated classroom spaces outside extend the learning environment, allowing for lessons under the open sky.

Rising above the building, a lush roof garden adds both beauty and utility. This green oasis serves as a functional area for relaxation and observation. The garden was designed with sustainability in mind, featuring drought-tolerant plants that required minimal water and upkeep, thus harmonizing with the facility’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
