About The Project

The design of the roof garden at Rideout Memorial Hospital presented MTWgroup with a unique opportunity to enhance patient care through thoughtful landscape design. The goal was to create a serene retreat that would support healing and well-being for patients, visitors, and families.

The roof garden was conceived as a tranquil space for rejuvenation, featuring an outdoor area that promotes relaxation and restoration. Key elements of the design include an automatic irrigation system to efficiently maintain the semi-intensive roof garden plantings and large decorative pots containing trees, which added a touch of natural beauty and shade.

The decking system was engineered to support the additional weight of the large plants, ensuring durability and safety. Designed with pre-manufactured materials, the deck incorporated a secure railing to ensure patient safety while enhancing accessibility.
